ロームシアター京都にて音楽を軸とし、ジャンルや固定観念にとらわれない表現活動を探求するパフォーマンスシリーズ「Sound Around」の第5弾として制作された「世界交換手」にて、イトウがエンジニアとして参加しました。

世界を交換することを諦めない
We cannot exchange but neither can we stop exchanging

交換不可能性をテーマに、電話交換手をモデルに作家自身が「世界交換手」となって世界各地とリアルタイムで通信する。
通信できることによって残された、通信されないこと、相互理解の不可能性についてのシアターピース。

A theater piece themed around the unexchangeability of the world, in which the artist, modeled on a telephone operator, becomes a “world operator” who communicates in real time with different regions across the world.
Through the possibility of communication, this theatre piece highlights what remains uncommunicated and the impossibility of mutual understanding.
